Raleigh, NC (June 15, 2021) – Known as the tech center of the South, the city of Raleigh, NC, will soon take on the mantle of hemp industry host as the city welcomes the 3rd annual Southern Hemp Expo on September 2-4, 2021. Produced by Colorado Hemp Company and powered by We Are For Better Alternatives (WAFBA), this year’s event organizers are pleased to be working with Visit Raleigh to host the event at the Raleigh Convention Center.

“This year’s Southern Hemp Expo, held for the first time in Raleigh, is expected to sell out,” said Morris Beegle, President and Co-founder of We Are For Better Alternatives. “We had two very successful events in Nashville, TN, in 2018 and 2019. In our search to expand the event, we were extended an invitation to move the Southern Hemp Expo (SHE) to North Carolina. We’re excited to collaborate with Visit Raleigh in 2021 and bring the world of hemp to this thriving community and the country.”

Raleigh, North Carolina, is a Southern capital city shaped by the passionate minds of its residents. Visit Raleigh is looking forward to SHE3 and indicates that attendees will discover an emerging town that boasts a cultural heartbeat, including museums, arts, live music, craft culinary and beverage scene, handcrafted goods, and historical experiences.

Raleigh is proud to be hosting the Southern Hemp Expo,” said Denny Edwards, Visit Raleigh President and CEO. “North Carolina has a rich agricultural tradition and industrial hemp is one of our most exciting sectors right now. We look forward to showcasing our region to attendees and are committed to making this year’s SHE3 a memorable experience for all who attend and visit our city.”
